Cusco – Ollantaytambo – KM. 104 – Machu Picchu
Pick up from your hotel heading to Ollantaytambo from here take the train to km. 104. Where will begin our walk across a suspension bridge over the Urubamba River (Vilcanuta), then visit the archaeological complex Chachabamba. After a brief visit this site we will begin an ascent of four hours a dairy farm Wiñaywayna 2700m. (8858 feet) With great spiritual significance, and one of the best of all debris around the Inca Trail. At this point the road joins the main route of the Incas. From here well be walking on the Inca Trail. Inca Trail cuts through the ridge above Machu Picchu, to finally reach Intipunku or sun gate. From here the trail winds down (40 minutes) in the lost city of Machu Picchu to 2450m. (8038 feet) Lets take a bus to Aguas Calientes, accommodation, and then visit to the thermal baths. (optional).
