Uros and Amantany Islands full day tour - Code P - 1

You will be picked up from your hotel around 8:20 am, after 2 hours motorboat you will arrive at the Uros island. Fishermen and hunters inhabit the floating islands of the Uros. The residents of the Uros use the cattail, a type of rush, which grows in the lake, to create the conditions that ensure the islands stay afloat. The dense roots that the plants develop support the island. The roofs are waterproof and the houses are extremely humid because of the surrounding water. At present they speak Quechua and Aymara., then you will visit Taquile Island on Lake Titicaca . With a population of 3,500 Quechua inhabitants, it is known for its two pre-Inca temples dedicated to the earth's fertility. Built on different hills, these places are sacred and ceremonial rituals are still practiced by "Andean Yatiris" there. Taquile range of magnetic field is unusual, and the residents renowned for their gentleness. You can be strolling the streets to get a sense of their culture. There are plenty of opportunities to purchase their woven textiles, pottery and straw baskets. Then we will come back to Puno, transfer to your hotel. (L)

Puno- Copacabana Sun Island 2 days (tour - Code P - 2)

 

Day 1: PUNO - COPACABANA SUN ISLAND

Pick up from your hotel in Puno City and transfer to the bus station to take the bus to Copacabana at 8:00am, arriving around noon. We will take the "Señorio I", our confortable and safe boat to have our excursion to the Sun Island . The waters of Titicaca Lake are a beatiful blue, reflecting the hills, mirroring the sky and changing colour when it is cloudy. The Sun Island is worshipped as the birthplace of Manco Kápac and Mama Ocllo the first founders of the Inca’s Empire. Some ruins like the Pilkokaina Palace , the Inca’s Fontaine, the 200 stairs of Yumani are part of this beatiful Island , worth to see it .

At the end of the services transfer to Gloria Hotel in Copacabana.

 

Day 2: COPACABANA - PUNO

Pick up from your hotel,we will take a private transportation to Puno and on the way we will visit Chucuito. Chucuito is know as the Real Boxes City, because this city formed part of the Virreynato, here we will appreciate the Uyo Inca’s archaeological center or fertility temple, the rustic style of Santo Domingo Church, the mixed racially style of Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion Church and the solar clock, made of Huamanga stone in 1832, located on the Main Square then we will go to the villages of JULI and POMATA. At the end of the tours transfer to Puno (B)
