Choquequirao and Machu picchu

Magnificent scenarios and the combination of the two big journeys of the Cusco are those that it offers us this program; Arrive to the Cusco and you have only two days to visit some impressive places as the strength of Sacsehuaman and the sacred Valley of the Inca with their famous Indian markets. This is good as preamble to begin our voyage with the fantastic route of the Inca that unites the new discovery of Choquequirao and the old lost city of Machu picchu.

 


Day 1 -CUSCO AND CITY- Transfer from the Airport to the Hotel that has private bathroom and hot water; in the afternoon walk for the City

Day 2 - CUSCO AND SACRED VALLEY- Transfer of the Hotel to make guided tour of the sacred Valley of the Inca. Visits of Pisac and their famous Indian market, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. At night transfer to their hotel.

Day 5 - CHOQUEQUIRAO - MAIZAL: Today we walk hill up until the 3299 SNM and then we descend to Rio Blanco, 1909 SNM. In the road we go by the ruins of Pinchiunuyoj with Andeneria Inca. The habitat change is pretty and we will be able to see birds, different flowers and varieties of orchids and plantations of coca to 2750 SNM. From Rio Blanco we ascend until Maizal for about 3 hours. we will spend the night

Day 6 - MAIZAL - YANAMA: Of Maizal we begin to ascend, going by the old Mines Victoria with their tunnels full with some almost incredible histories and that by the way they were already exploited by the Inca. Before arriving to the step we can appreciate a completely paved original Inca road and where even the modern man not to position the hand, then we will go by the step of Yanama 4154 m.s.n.m. and finally we descend until our camp to 3800 SNM.

Day 8 - TOTORA - PLAYA: Today we get down to the river Totora. As we get down and we observe some birds, the most interesting are the picaflores, carpenters and also different varieties of orchids and begonias. Camp to 2125 m.s.n.m.

Day 10 MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO: After breakfast early take the ascent bus to the old city of Machu Picchu, where we have a guided tour of aprox. 2 hours and then we have free time to explore, maybe to go up Wayna Picchu. And we have the time to descend to the town of Aguas Calientes to take the return Train to Cusco

 

Day 3 - CUSCO - CACHORA - PLAYA ROSALINA: 4:00 a.m. We pick up Them of their hotel and we travel for about 4 hours in bus to the town of Cachora.

Day 4-ROSALINA CHOQUEQUIRAO: After a breakfast early begin to ascend toChoquequirao where we will arrive to the 3 PM. approximately then we will explore the place accompanied by our guide. then we will have a spectacular view of the canyon of the Apurimac and it is also possible to observe Condors flying.

Camp in Choquequirao, 3033 SNM.

Day 7 - YANAMA - TOTORA: After the breakfast we begin to climb slowly toward the step most high that is of 4668 SNM; Again we have a magnified view and we are almost surrounded of snowy as the Sacsarayoj and the Padreyoj almost touching the sky an indescribable enjoyment, later we will go down toward our Camp to 3632 SNM.

Day 9 - PLAYA - AGUAS CALIENTES: Today we ascend it for the last time to 2810 SNM, delaying aprox. 3 hours; of this point we can have a very rich view of Machu Picchu. After a rest we get down to the place called Hidroelectrica located in the banks of the Urubamba river then go to the town of Aguas Calientes walk about 2 hours. Spend the night in Hotel Aguas Calietes.
