SIBINAQ'OCHA Lagoon. - Important lagoon of color turqueza and that is located in the Province of Canchis, in the Eastern region of the Cusco, to the South of the Mountain range of Ausangate, on 4.842 m.s.n.m. This lagoon is surrounded by impressive made snow-white Mountains and receives your defrostings soon to send these waters to the Vilcanota river. So need single of 7 days to enjoy its enchantment.. 


Día 01. CUSCO-TINkI.                              We depart Cusco in our private bus towars Ocongate, were we will stop for lunch and then to Tinqui (trailhead) located at the foot of the Vilcanota mountain range. Driving through the beautiful highland plateau. we will spent the night at Tinki (3800m.).                        

DAY 03 Q'OMERQ'OCHA – PACCHASPATA     We will walk following the uphill path toward Pacchaspata Pass (5,050 m). The trail follows a moraine above a glacier flowing down from the snowpeaks east of our route. On most treks we see vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and. Continuing down the valley, a new view opens up of the south face of massifd Ausangate. We continue descending to camp sute next to hamlet of Quillita (4,400m.)

 

 

DAY 06 CCASCCAMAQ'OCHA - CERRO YAYAMARI .-    Easy day trekking toward Yayamari and you will have the option to climb up the Yayamari, snowpeak at (5,500 m) climbers can enjoy the spectacular view of the landscape with the highland plateau, lakes and glaciated summits. DAY 02 TINKI - Q'OMERQ'OCHA      We will start the hike, ascending a not very sheer path through rolling hills dotted with herds of llamas and alpacas. The massif Ausangate (6450m.) dominate the skyline after 4 ½ hrs. we have lunch at Pacchanta, (tipical highland hamlet) then continue ascending to camp at Qomercocha ( Green lagoon) (4,570 m)

DAY 04 PACCHASPATA -SIBINAQ'OCHA   We climb up to reach the next mountain pass called as the Condor Pass (5,100 m) and then we cross a highland plateau to reach the head of Sibinacocha a big andean glacial lake. We can see big birds as huallatas (Andean geese); Andean ducks and flamingos at the shore. we spend the night here.

 

DAY 05 SIBINAQ'OCHA - CCASCCAMAQ'OCHA   We hike surrounding the head of the lake toward Ccascamacocha, a tipical highland valley dominated by a small lake with a fascinating concentration of high altitude Andean birds. The Ccasccamaq'ocha inhabitants have herds of alpacas and llamas . 


DAY 07 RETURN TO CUSCO

We hike out to the southern end of Sibinacocha lake to new road. Our vehicle awaits; we load up, return to Cuzco.
 

YOU SHOULD BRING: -                                Good sleeping bag - Backpack - Good trekkingboots and socks - Water bottle - Flash light, hat - Warm clothes - Day pack -Rainponcho - toiletpaper - some pocket money - camera with extra rolls - Waterbottle and purifying.
