wide and two miles long canyon, through which flows the mighty

The Q’eros are still the guardians of an extremely rich Inka cultural tradition.
The Q’eros are a Quechua-speaking people who lives
in several
small
clustery villages
on the mountains
from south-central Peru at altitudes ranging up to 16,000
feet above
sea level.
Aided by these high altitudes
which kept
them away
from
civilization, the Q’eros lived in relative
isolation from
external influence until approximately
the year 1950.
