SIBINAQ'OCHA Lagoon
.
This
witchy lagoon of
turquoise
colour is located in the Canchis
province in the
Eastern region
of the Cusco, to the South of the
Ausangate Mountain range
over 4.842
M.A.S.L.
This lagoon is surrounded by
impressing snow-capped Mountains
that pour
its defrostings
in these
waters that
will flow
over the Vilcanota
River. We'll need
seven
thrilling days to enjoy
from its enchantment.

DAY 1 CUSCO-TINKI.-
We depart from Cusco in our private bus towards Ocongate, where we will stop for lunch and then to
Tinqui (trailhead) located at the foot of the Vilcanota's mountain range. Driving through the
beautiful high plateau. we will spend the night at Tinki (3800m.).

DAY 2 TINKI - Q'OMERQ'OCHA.-
We will start the hike, ascending a not very sheer path through rolling hills dotted with
herds of llamas and alpacas. The massif Ausangate (6450m.) dominates the skyline. After 4 ½
hrs. we have lunch at Pacchanta, (tipycal highland hamlet) then get along ascending to the campsite at
Qomercocha (Green lagoon) (4,570 m).

DAY 3: Q'OMERQ'OCHA – PACCHASPATA.-
We'll walk following the uphill path toward Pacchaspata Pass (5,050 m). The trail follows a
moraine above a glacier flowing down from the snowpeaks eastwards of our route. On most of the treks we
see vicuñas, llamas and alpacas. Continuing downwards the valley, a new view opens up the
south face of the massif Ausangate. We continue descending to the campsite next to the hamlet of
Quillita (4,400m.).

DAY 4: PACCHASPATA - SIBINAQ'OCHA.-
We climb to reach the next mountain pass called the Condor Pass (5,100 m) and then we
cross a highland plateau to reach the head of the Sibinacocha, a big andean glacial lake.
We can see big birds like the huallatas (Andean geese), Andean ducks and flamingos at the shore.
We spend the night here.

DAY 5: SIBINAQ'OCHA- CCASCCAMAQ'OCHA.-
We hike surrounding the head of the lake towards Ccascamacocha, a tipycal highland valley
dominated by a small lake with a fascinating concentration of high altitude Andean birds.
The Ccasccamaq'ocha inhabitants have herds of alpacas and llamas.

DAY 6: CCASCCAMAQ'OCHA-CERRO YAYAMARI .-
Easy day trekking towards the Yayamari snow-capped mountain (5,500m. high),which is an option of yours. The climbers can enjoy the spectacular view of the landscape with the
highland plateau, the lakes and the glaciated summits.

DAY 7: RETURN TO CUSCO.-
We hike out towards the southern end of the Sibinacocha lake to the new road. Our vehicle awaits to load up for our returning to Cuzco.

Payment details:
We will require a non-refundable trek deposit of US$150 per person payable within four days of All Trek Perú
confirming your trek booking. The deposit is to be paid by Bank or by (i) Western Union money transfer.
Further details on how to send the deposit are included
in our trek booking confirmation e-mail. The remaining
balance is to be paid in our office at least two days prior to your trek departure date. Payment can be made in
cash US$, local currency (Peruvian Soles), American Express Travel Cheques (3%) or by VISA (6% surcharge - VISA's
cost not ours).
