Salkantay with Inka Trail to Machu picchu

world. Less concurred than the popular Inka Trail, during
the route we can appreciate a progression of
diverse ecological peaks, tropical sites, glacier
summits,
before
arriving to the lost Incas' city, Machu picchu.

|
DAY 1: CUSCO/MOLLEPATA/MARKOKASA.-
Transport from Cusco to Mollepata. We will begin the ramble meeting with a bilingual and experienced guide. The mules will carry all our baggage, and we are provided with some emergency horses. We will set up our camp in Markokasa.

DAY 2 : MARKOKASA - SORAYPAMPA - SALKANTAY PAMPA .-
We will climb slowly to the Markokasa passage (3650) along which there are beautiful views that include the snow capped mountain Humantay (5917). We get along through the Salkantay's ravine, where we are going to
camp.

DAY 3: INCACHIRIASCA STEP-SISAY PAMPA.-
Today we will begin our ramble with the majestic Salkantay and many impressing snow covered peaks (6271). While we
climb to the Incachiriasca passage (4880) we will be amazed by this beautiful mountain. Later, we'll descend to
the Sisaypampa passage where we will camp on the slopes from the majestic Salkantay snow-capped moutain.

DAY 4: SISAY PAMPA - CANAL INCA - PAUCARCANCHA.-
After a healthy breakfast, we will continue the trail, towards the Pampacahua valley where we will find remains from an Inca cana; then we descend to the archeological complex of Paucarcancha. Later we'll set up the camp.

DAY 5: PAUCARCANCHA - GUAYLLABAMBA - PACAYMAYO.-
We will undertake the ramble early in the morning towards Guayllabamba(3000 m.). From this place
we will climb to the Warmihuañusca passage, then we can see the great structure from the Inca trail
while descending to the Pacaymayo valley where we will be camping.

DAY 6: SAYACMARCA - PHUYUPATAMARCA - WIÑAYWAYNA.-
It is a better day than the others in our ramble. We will be watching spectacular landscapes and
will be visiting archeological sites such as: Sayacmarca, Concahamarcay and Phuyupatamarca.
Finally, we will descend towards the striking Wiñaywayna where we will camp.

DAY 7: INTIPUNKU - MACHPICCHU - CUSCO.-
Very early in the morning we will get along our ramble arriving to the Intipunku from where we can have
the first magnificent view of the imposing Machupicchu (2475 m), then we will
descend to this beautiful Inca city. In the afternoon we will return
to Cusco by train.

We will confirm your tour reservation by e-mail within a couple of days. We will require a trek
deposit of US$200 per person paid in advance. The date by which the trek deposit has to be paid
and details on how to pay the tour deposit will be included in the trek confirmation e-mail.

WHAT YOU NEED
|

Sleeping bag (not included but can be hired from us), walking boots, waterproof jacket/rain,
warm jacket, hat and gloves, T-shirts, comfortable trousers ,sun hat ,sun protection cream
(factor 35 is recommended), insect repellent, toiletries, personal medication, camera and films,
torch with spare batteries, walking stick (with rubber tip), plasters and bandages, sandals,
extra money.

We will require a non-refundable trek deposit of US$200 per person, payable within one week. All Trek Perú
will confirm your trek booking. The deposit is to be paid by

The remaining balance is to be paid in our office at least two days prior to your trek departure date.
